Adult Pickleball
This program is unavailable.
At long last, Philipstown Recreation is now offering indoor Pickleball sessions this Spring!
Pickleball has become a popular sport and is known to most to as a combination of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Pickleball is played with a paddle and a whiffle ball on either an indoor or outdoor court that is the same size as a badminton court and a modified tennis net.
How it works: Philipstown residents may reserve a court for $25 in one-hour time slots on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, when the Rec Center gym has availability through the Spring (register for a court as you would for any program). This means you can rent a court for four people, two people, eight people -- it doesn't matter to us, so long as you have a system in place to rotate your extra players in. We will have some paddles and balls available for those who do not own equipment.
*Please keep in mind: These are not competitive, regulation indoor courts! This is simply a fun, casual way to introduce the sport to the community and a truly fun way to exercise! If you are searching for a more competitive options, please research and explore additional regulation courts around the region.
