Performance: Thursday 3/19 at 5pm
Location: The Philipstown Depot Theater
Age: 1-3 Grade
Instructor: Kira Onodera
Cost: $350
Class size: Max of 15

In this class, our youngest performers will be guided through an exploration into the art of storytelling. Through theater games, collaborative storytelling and sensory work, each class we will delve into a new myth or tall tale. We will hear stories from ancient Greece, learn about American folklore heroes like John Henry and stir up trouble with the Monkey King. This class will touch on ideas of the structure and elements of a good story and the many ways we can use our imaginations to tell an exciting tale. We will be on our feet, using our bodies and simple materials to create masks and props. Our work together will culminate as we envision, stage and perform our own stories in front of friends and family.
