Philipstown Tai Chi Class Marc Sabin teaches Tai Chi as a body/mind/spiritual practice. He guides students with great care, focusing on postural misalignments, internal dynamics and the powerful health benefits of the practice. When done correctly, Tai Chi is a well-rounded physical regimen that facilitates more comfort, greater mobility and increased strength. The gentle movements improve balance and equilibrium. Its benefits go far beyond a relaxed form of exercise and helps restore overall vitality. After a series of careful Qigong warm-ups, the Beginners’ Class focuses on the first eight postural movements of the popular Yang Family Tai Chi Form.  About MarcMarc’s studies began in 1976. Before devoting himself to Tai Chi, he earned two black belts and an advanced diploma in Escrima, a Filipino stick-fighting art. He is a highly regarded instructor.

For residents only! It’s the anti-aging workout for active older adults who are looking to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. For our “Barre Tenders”, the barre (or in most cases for students – a chair) is used as a prop for balance, while performing low-impact exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. For our class: NO actual Barre is required, just a chair or a solid surface (table, countertop, etc). Please note, however: There is no seated work with this program, you will be standing for the duration of class.*Water, towel, and light hand weights are recommended -- but not required.This class will be held in person and live streamed via ZOOM.

If you’re looking for a newly-released fun way to get your cardio and strength training in one class Zumba + Lift™ is for you!The one-hour session alternates dedicated strength training segments with simple Zumba cardio dance for a fun and intense full-body workout. You’ll burn fat, improve stability, joint health and boost your endurance and coordination. We use a combination of body weight, 2-10+lb weights and resistance bands. All of the strength segments can be modified for beginners and progressed for experienced lifters and the dance sections will be simple and accessible - even to those with two left feet!

Beginning in 2015 and reimagined in 2025, our PMP offers teens who are interested in the theater arts (directing, stage managing, choreography, and more) an opportunity to learn these skills from professionals, and then implement them by directing, designing, and managing the Depot Youth summer production.Daniel Kelly is a pianist and composer whose work brings music into conversation with literature, visual art, and storytelling. Through acclaimed programs such as Shakespeare in Jazz: All the World’s a Song, Blind Visionaries, and Rakonto, he creates dynamic, interactive performances that invite audiences into the creative process. Daniel’s teaching and artistic practice center on collaboration, imagination, and community. He has performed at performing arts centers and concert halls nationwide and served as Music Director for Hudson Valley Shakespeare's production of Penelope and last summer’s student productions at the Philipstown Depot Theater (Music Man Jr. and Curtains). He's thrilled to return to the Depot this summer! She won the 2016 Manhattan Association of Clubs and Cabarets Award for Best Female Debut for her original show “Mama Drama.” In New York she has appeared onstage with Playhouse Creatures, MCC, and The New York Musical Festival, and headlined at The Metropolitan Room, The Duplex, and Don’t Tell Mama. She graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in England with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She appears regularly at 54 Below in “Sondheim Unplugged” and is featured on the Sondheim Unplugged album series that was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. In addition to her work on the stage, Natalie has spent over 20 years cultivating the next generation of artists.  Most recently, she has worked with young people at Garrison Union Free School, Sleepy Hollow High School, Croton Academy of Arts, Arlington High School, Philipstown Depot Theater, James I. O’Neill High School, Haldane Elementary, and New Era Creative Space.  Her students have been accepted to performing arts high schools and colleges, appeared in national television commercials, and performed both off and on Broadway. The traditional ballet workout does indeed work. Classes focus on total fitness - body and mind. Each class will begin with a sequence of "barre" exercises followed by stretching and strengthening floor exercises and ending with "center" work.  You will need comfortable attire and ballet slippers or socks.

She graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in England with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She appears regularly at 54 Below in “Sondheim Unplugged” and is featured on the Sondheim Unplugged album series that was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. In addition to her work on the stage, Natalie has spent over 20 years cultivating the next generation of artists.  Most recently, she has worked with young people at Garrison Union Free School, Sleepy Hollow High School, Croton Academy of Arts, Arlington High School, Philipstown Depot Theater, James I. She appears regularly at 54 Below in “Sondheim Unplugged” and is featured on the Sondheim Unplugged album series that was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. In addition to her work on the stage, Natalie has spent over 20 years cultivating the next generation of artists.  Most recently, she has worked with young people at Garrison Union Free School, Sleepy Hollow High School, Croton Academy of Arts, Arlington High School, Philipstown Depot Theater, James I. O’Neill High School, Haldane Elementary, and New Era Creative Space.  Her students have been accepted to performing arts high schools and colleges, appeared in national television commercials, and performed both off and on Broadway. Her favorite thing in the world is helping young people find their voice, whether onstage or off, and she is immensely grateful for the opportunity to work with your children.Daniel Kelly is a pianist and composer whose work brings music into conversation with literature, visual art, and storytelling. Through acclaimed programs such as Shakespeare in Jazz: All the World’s a Song, Blind Visionaries, and Rakonto, he creates dynamic, interactive performances that invite audiences into the creative process. Daniel’s teaching and artistic practice center on collaboration, imagination, and community. He has performed at performing arts centers and concert halls nationwide and served as Music Director for Hudson Valley Shakespeare's production of Penelope and last summer’s student productions at the Philipstown Depot Theater (Music Man Jr. and Curtains). 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM    Ballet for Adults '26 - Ballet for Adults Thursday - Summer 2026
The traditional ballet workout does indeed work. Classes focus on total fitness - body and mind. Each class will begin with a sequence of "barre" exercises followed by stretching and strengthening floor exercises and ending with "center" work.  You will need comfortable attire and ballet slippers or socks.
