11:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Golden Barre Class - Golden Barre - September
It’s the anti-aging workout for active older adults who are looking to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. For our “Barre Tenders”, the barre (or in most cases for students – a chair) is used as a prop for balance, while performing low-impact exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. For our class: NO actual Barre is required, just a chair or a solid surface (table, countertop, etc). Please note, however: There is no seated work with this program, you will be standing for the duration of class.*Water, towel, and light hand weights are recommended -- but not required. This class will be held in person and live streamed via ZOOM.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM    Dog Obedience - Dog Obedience
This class will be based on Sue Aislby’s Levels system of dog training. It is open for dogs and trainers of all levels, though we will begin at the beginning.  Because the Levels program starts where you are and ends with championship titles, it really is good for everyone, whether you have a new puppy or you have already titled in obedience or rally.  Topics covered will range from the basics: learning the dogs name, sit, stay, come etc, and move to intermediate topics like mat-work and loose leash walking, and we can also venture into target, agility precursor and distance work for those who are ready for it. Remember: Although we are happy to work with your dogs (in fact we love it!) we will be primarily teaching you how to train your dog. This system is based on an R+ (positive reinforcement) method.   First class will be for people only.Note: This class will be held outdoors.
